Meet Sean Warnet, the builder behind Island Contractors.
Sean served on active duty in the Marine Corps and then in the Air Force Reserve, twenty years in uniform in all, holding down a full-time job at Hawaiian Electric through his Reserve years. Now he plans kitchens and bathrooms with Oʻahu families at his Kapolei showroom. If you hire us, he's the person whose name is on the license and the plan.
The habits behind the work
What the Marines, the Air Force, and Hawaiian Electric taught him.
Sean served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps and then in the United States Air Force Reserve, twenty years in uniform in all. Years in uniform teach you to plan before you move, show up when you said you would, and keep your word when the plan changes. The Reserve is a part-time commitment (reservists call themselves weekend warriors), so through those years he also worked full-time at Hawaiian Electric, where you do the job right the first time because the whole street is counting on you. That's the standard Island Contractors is built around.
In practice it looks ordinary, which is the point. Someone listens before anyone draws a plan. The tier and the price are in writing before a single cabinet comes out. You get a real start date, and you hear from us as the job moves, not only when something changes. And if a wall hides something we didn't expect, you hear about it before we go further, with your options laid out, not a surprise on the bill.
Sean founded Island Contractors in 2014. Today Island Contractors LLC is a veteran-owned design build remodeling company in Kapolei, Oʻahu, working under Hawaiʻi C-5 License CT-37515. The team designs and builds kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home remodels for homeowners across Oʻahu, with cabinet layout design and installation planned around your home.

Choosing a countertop from a phone screen is a guess. Sean opened the showroom so you can put your hand on the quartz, open the cabinet door, and set the tile next to the floor you're thinking about. Island Contractors LLC holds Hawaiʻi C-5 License CT-37515. Sean R. Warnet is the responsible managing employee and principal under CT-37516. Both are on the State of Hawaiʻi's public record, and you can check them any time.
C-5 stands for Cabinet, Millwork, and Carpentry Remodeling and Repairs. In plain words, that's the cabinets, built-ins, trim, and the carpentry of a remodel, including taking out or moving a nonbearing wall to open up a galley kitchen. It doesn't cover the parts that hold the house up, like foundations, beams, or joists, and if your plan touches those we'll tell you plainly before anything starts. A licensed plumber handles the plumbing, a licensed electrician the wiring, and who does what is in your written scope before we start.
