Waipahu's houses split cleanly in two: older 1960s-to-80s homes clustered around the old plantation-town core and Village Park, and newer 1990s-2000s tract homes up in Waikele, Royal Kunia, Crestview and Waipiʻo Gentry. The older homes carry the closed-off kitchen and single bathroom of their era; the tract homes were built efficient but generic, and rarely sized for kupuna, parents and keiki under one roof. The flat ʻEwa-plain lots keep the work straightforward, so the real questions are inside the walls.

Who handles the permits for a Waipahu renovation?
It's settled in writing before you sign. We figure out what needs a permit during planning. Our C-5 license covers cabinetry, millwork and carpentry, including nonbearing partition changes. Plumbing is done and permitted by a licensed plumber, electrical by a licensed electrician, and structural work by the contractor licensed for it. Your written scope names who does what and who is responsible for each permit at DPP. You never have to guess.
How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Waipahu?
